Clyde got his Grand Championship title!

Grand Champion Clydesdale Out Of Sight

For those of you out there looking for an “old style” or “traditional” German Shepherd, this is it! Clyde is See See’s full brother. See See (Tennessee Walker Out of Sight) is the mother of Shepherd Sight’s most recent litter.

Many people looking for a traditional looking GSD associate that with European bloodlines and overlook American Show Line GSDs because they think they are too extreme, over angulated, bad tempered, spindly, or small, but Clyde is a good example of a large, masculine, heavy boned, good tempered, mildly angulated traditional looking GSD that managed to get past those more extreme dogs and achieve his Grand Championship title. You either love that or hate that! I love it!

And they are up! GSD ears up at 12 weeks! Two puppies still available!

As you can see from the previous posts, I was worried about the ears on this litter. But I needn’t have worried! Daphne’s ears look great! They are the last to come up of the ones I have here. Martin’s are slowly coming up. And Frazier’s are up and down, with one up more than the other. Check out the pics! Niles and Daphne are still available to approved homes! These puppies have had great socialization. They’ve been to puppy handling classes at the Zoom Room https://zoomroom.com/location/richmond/ taught by The Virginia Kennel Club https://m.facebook.com/Virginiakennelclub Home Depot, and had lots of visits with other dogs, large and small, adults and children of all types and walks of life. They are crate trained and 80% housebroken (great progress for this age). Daphne (red collar) loves everyone. She would make an excellent pet for a family with children. She absolutely adores kissing children’s faces. Niles ( green collar) is going to be a very handsome, masculine male. He is growing so fast that he is slower running than his smaller and more agile sisters. He is not an overly aggressive Alpha type male. He will be easily trainable and could fit in with most families. Both of them would also make great show dogs. They have excellent conformation and movement. I hate to part with them, but I only have room for one female. I’m keeping Roz (brown collar) because she seems to be the most bonded to me.

Daphne’s ears are up! Sometimes they are all the way up, but mostly they flop at the top. This is called “friendly ears” because they wave. (Lol!) For her age, they look good! DAPHNE IS AVAILABLE!
Niles has great ears! They only go a little horizontal when he is tired. NILES IS AVAILABLE!
Roz’s ears still touch in the middle.
Martin (now Duke) has airplane ears, and the bases are up. He is very much loved by his new family.
Frasier (now Günther) sometimes has one ear up, sometimes both out straight like an airplane, and rarely both up according to his new owners.

German Shepherd puppy ears

If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll remember that the mother of my current litter had a problem with her ears. I had to tape them. I bred her to a sire with really good ears with the hopes that I will not have to tape any of these puppies’ ears.

I still have three puppies here. I’m planning on keeping one female. So I still have one male and one female available. Unfortunately, two of the homes that I thought I had for sure fell through. Sometimes it turns out to just not be the right time for a puppy. Life happens. Feel free to call or text if you are interested. Sarah Morgan 304-610-7172. Or email morganshep@aol.com

Roz’s ears were the first to come up. They look great! Even though they are leaning into the middle. It’s funny because I thought hers were going to be difficult.
I think Niles’s ears are going to be fine. This is just a temporary flop on one side. That flop is not creased, so I’m not worried.
It looks like Daphne’s ears are going to need some help. But it is still too early to tell for sure. I will give them another week.

If I end up taping any ears I will be sure to blog it.

Two GSD puppies still available, and “Frasier has left the building”

Frasier was the lucky one today. He went to his new home in Northern Virginia with his new mom and dad. I am sure that this is a loving home, and Frasier will get good care. They are experienced German Shepherd owners and are happy to have a big boy back in their lives. They are going to call him Günther!

Frasier and his new dad, Larry

I still have two beautiful puppies available. One male and one female. Both are show quality but will be great pets as well. Call or text Sarah Morgan at 304-610-7172 or email morganshep@aol.com

Collar colors have been changed. I removed the rick-rack and replaced it with regular soft buckle collars. Frasier is still blue. Niles is still green. Daphne is now red (formerly pink). Roz is tan (formerly white).

Duke (previously known as Martin) is settling into his new home

Duke’s new family has two other (neutered) mature dogs: a male black lab Magic, and a large female northern breed mix Macie. They are accepting him into the pack nicely. Luke, his sister, and parents got to watch the puppies grow up and helped socialize the whole litter, so they already love him dearly. Duke seems quite content, as you can see by these pics.

Contact me if you are looking for a new addition to your family. I have two other male puppies available. Call or text 304-610-7172 or email morganshep@aol.com

Martin Crane goes home

The first of See See’s puppies has left the nest. (Two very nice males are still available.) Martin, red collar boy, has gone to his new home, which just happens to be two doors down from me! I am happy to have him close.

Luke and his dad picked him up today after school. They had delayed picking him up so that it would be on a weekend, and when both mom and dad are working from home. I love it when people really plan for their new arrival.

Martin (now “Duke”) in loving arms.
Dad is putting on a brand new collar
Luke will hold onto the red one as a keepsake.
Ready to go home!

I always miss my babies, but this one is lucky to get such a great family. Goodbye sweet Martin!

Vet checks!

All 5 puppies went to the vet for checkups! All are in excellent health with no issues.

Martin and Frazier waited patiently. Or maybe they were just tired after their first car ride.
Niles, Daphne, and Roz were lots more wiggly after all the waiting and a checkup.

Dr. Miller said this was a very nice and healthy litter. He also said they were quite large for their age. At 7 weeks of age and 14.4-17.6 lbs, they are largest I have ever had. (This doesn’t necessarily mean they are going to be huge adults. Parent size is a better indicator.)

They have had their first shots and worming. All puppies need a series of vaccines to maintain immunity and follow up stool checks. These puppies come with a written guarantee. Parents have been health tested and are clear of degenerative myelopathy and hip and elbow dysplasia.

Please call/text or email if you are interested in one of these puppies. They are at the perfect age to go to a new home. Call or text Sarah Morgan at 304-610-7172 or email at morganshep@aol.com
