Sunday was, like, totally, the best day ever! Clyde got a 5 point major and Best of Opposite Sex by beating the special (a dog who was a champion, Luc)!!! Then, omg, See See beat Clyde for best of winners for the crossover and also got a 5 point major!!!! The judge, Patricia Hess, told me she really liked what I was breeding!
I will post the professional win pics when I get them. In the meantime, here are some random pics that were shot from ringside.
See See had an ultrasound today at Springfield Vet, and we saw Dr. Kara Kolster, a reproduction specialist. Unfortunately, no evidence of pregnancy was found. I didn’t realize how much I was looking forward to puppies. I’m very sad.
See See and me on the front porch. I took these selfies a few days ago when I thought See See might be pregnant.
Still waiting. See See is only about 2 weeks post breeding, so it’s too early to tell if she is pregnant or not. Therefore, I’m treating her like she is, just to make sure she gets the best of care. She’s on the futon taking a nap next to a blanket with her grandfather’s picture on it. She looks downright comfy!
Follow this blog if you are interested in potential puppies from this litter. See previous posts for more info.
Both dogs are DM clear. See See was OFA certified at age 2 with GOOD hips and CLEAR elbows. Luc is prelimmed with GOOD hips and CLEAR elbows because he is less than 2 years. Both are on their way to championships.
Watch my puppies page: https://shepherdsight.com/puppies/ and this blog for updates, and keep your fingers crossed that this was a successful breeding!
Johnny has 2 legs toward his CD title in AKC obedience. Today, he was the highest scoring dog at the trial! GO JOHNNY GO! Thank you Twyla, ring steward extraordinaire, for videoing!
This is the sit-stay/get-your-leash exercise. Johnny makes this look easy, but you’d be surprised how many dogs jump up when their leash is picked up.The judge, Aimee Kincaid, handing me the High In Trial ribbonJudge petting Johnny, because, you know, he is a good boy.
What gives my dogs such healthy looking coats? That spark of energy? That shine in their eyes?

The first thing is love. All dogs have to know that they are loved and wanted. Beyond that, what else can a person do to help their dogs look and feel their best? I use Fido-Vite.
Fido-Vite is a supplement in powder form that goes with a meal. It contains vitamins, minerals, and enzymes so dogs get the most nutrition they can from their food. Here is a link to the Fido-Vite web page. (Use my coupon code SIGHT to get a 10% discount!) https://www.drschoicesupplements.com/fido-vite/
This is the product I give to all 6 of my GSDs.
Fido-Vite is the only product I’ve chosen to promote on my website. I used it for a while, switched to something else, but came back to Fido-Vite. I can definitely tell the difference in their coats, skin, and stool quality. They look shinier, heal faster when they get any blemishes, and poop less. To get that extra edge in showing, coat quality is important. Coat is the first thing the judge sees, and then touches. My older dogs, who are no longer showing, also benefit from the enzymes and probiotics, which improve digestion.
Again, here is the website for Doctors Choice Supplements, where Fido-Vite is sold: https://www.drschoicesupplements.com/fido-vite/ Using my coupon code SIGHT will give you a 10% discount (and yes, I do get a small kickback if you use my code).
There are many similar products, and after trying many, I really think this one is best overall for my dogs ranging in age from 2 to 13. It is not the cheapest, but it is the best value for what I am looking for: gorgeous coats and better nutrition. A gorgeous coat on an unhealthy dog is impossible!

Doctors Choice Supplements has products for cats and horses too, but I haven’t tried those. The 10% discount from using coupon code SIGHT will work on all their products.
Here are the two best win pics of Clyde and See See. I still cannot believe how well they did on two recent consecutive weekends in Doswell! They now just need major points ro finish Championship titles. They are two years old.

I can’t believe how great the dogs did this weekend, we literally won points every day. That just never happens to me. I’m not saying my dogs are the greatest, but we got noticed by every single judge! I am so happy! Now, we need major wins to get championship titles. On to bigger shows!
Clyde and See See competing for best of winners in the breed ring. Clyde is handled by my friend Liz Huffman who handles many breeds professionally. She is in the yellow shirt.See See won best of winners, Clyde got best of opposite sex (ahead of a male champion) to GCh Kaleef’s Mercedes, shown here winning Best of Breed ahead of Clyde and See See and other champions. Mercedes is the best GSD in the country right now with multiple best in show and group wins. She is shown by Kent Boyles, considered one of the top GSD handlers and breeders in the country.
We had many professional win pics made, and I will publish those when I get them. I’m so happy!
