Crump Park, also called Meadow Park, is in Glen Allen, VA. It is historic, has farm animals, and is open to the public. And close to my house! Here is a link to find out more about it https://henrico.us/rec/places/meadow-farm/ The best parts are the trails and the sheep!
Winston at dog class
Winston needed to brush up on his dog show skills because it’s been awhile since he has been shown. He needs one set of major points to finish. Special thank you again to Michael for taking pics and video.

In this video, Winston doesn’t have room to show off his nice gait. What is notable is how he is at ease with the nearby dogs of various sizes, and with the “judge” who he approaches on the return.
Visitors!
My friends Sam and Leslie visited this evening. They brought their boy Corbin. We had dinner and played Scrabble, but first we had to pet the dogs. Corbin wanted to see Winston and the puppies, who he had met once before.

Clyde and See See went to Three Lakes Park
It was beautiful day today with temps in the high 60’s. My friend Sharon and I met at the park just to walk and talk.
Three Lakes Park in Henrico, VA has fishing areas, trails, and a nature center with native wildlife. There’s a place inside where the fish in the lake can be seen through glass like a big wild aquarium. Very cool for grown ups and kids.

Happy Birthday to Winston
I spend a lot of time with the puppies, and sometimes Winston feels left out. Today, Winston is 3 years old. So to celebrate I took just him with me when I went out to run errands.
I spent a long time at T Mobile, so Winston had to find ways to make himself comfortable.

Then I waited in the car for a takeout order from Zorba’s. Yum, love their moussaka!

When I got home, Clyde and See See had dragged their bedding out if their crates. Winston was glad to see them.

Chief at the Rappahannock in Wake, Va
Thank you, Lou, for this great pic of Chief! I love that Chief is going new places and getting well socialized in different environments. Chief lives near downtown Richmond.

Clyde and See See go to PetSmart
Continued socialization is so important! So hard to get good video though. During this trip we met a multi-generational family, and both puppies got lots of attention and petting by all.
I love this PetSmart near Virginia Center Commons because staff and management are so friendly. There are other dogs on leashes and people who have pets in the store, so it’s a perfect environment for socializing and learning good manners.
This video is rather boring! But look at what they are NOT doing. They are not pulling wildly on the leash, barking, or being otherwise disruptive. Just being calm and walking through the store.
Well-loved puppies
Here are some pics and a video from Jane’s last litter, born one year ago on 2/6/2021. I posted birthday pics of Clyde and See See on their birthday. Thank you to everyone who sent pics! I love that they all get along with other dogs in the household and are members of the families who chose them. They are all well taken care of and loved. I could not be happier that they are all so well loved this Valentines Day.

Clyde at dog class

Thank you Michael for shooting this great pic and your efforts with video. I could not get the Clyde videos to load! It’s such a small room that it’s hard to gait a German Shepherd and make it look as good as Michael did. I did want to post it, because he looks so relaxed and happy, which is half the battle. Clyde does look great in this still shot.
The Virginia Kennel Club has these handling classes in Goochland County on Wednesdays. Thank you Barbara, for getting us a location for classes! Their website is https://thevirginiakennelclub.com/ for more info.
Happy Birthday to Jane’s puppies born 2/6/2021
I haven’t gotten many littermate pics. I hope to have them by Valentines Day to post at one time. Please send to morganshep@aol.com
