Today would have been my 38th wedding anniversary. Chuck and I were married on August 16th, 1985. Winston was born in 2019, and my husband died the following year. Winston was Chuck’s pick of the litter. He named him Sir Winston Churchill because when he was born, he had a fat round head. We always liked to take Winston to some of the small beaches nearby, because Winston loves to play fetch in the water. He learned to swim because he was willing to go out far enough to get the stick.
In honor of Chuck on our anniversary today, I took Winston to the beach to play fetch.
