Winston goes to the Beach
Last Monday, Winston got to go to Sandbridge, the Virginia portion of the Outerbanks. The sand was soft, the sky was blue, and Winston got to fetch a stick out of the water. He had a blast and slept good that night!

Johnny and Jane are my old dogs now. They will be 10 in October. Jane is See See’s dam, who I will be breeding soon. Johnny and Jane are littermates. So, these pics are of the grandma and great uncle of my next litter.
Goodbye Sweet Nellie
It has been a week, and my heart still aches. Nellie is gone. She was 13 years old and gave me everything good her whole life. She did everything right.

Nellie Goes To The Vet
Nellie has been limping, and I found a swollen area/mass on her left rear leg. I was terrified that the vet visit would indicate the likelihood of cancer. The vet, Dr. Miller, said Nellie had pitting edema, and he could not feel a mass. He prescribed Rimadyl, a common non-steroidal anti-inflammatory given to dogs.
