Myos Canine Muscle Formula by Myos Pet
Myos also makes products for dogs, cats, and horses. I only have experience with the dog products. I use their muscle formula for my dog Jane.
Jane had fibrocartilaginous embolism (FCE) on Thanksgiving day, 2023. She was totally down in the rear and could not move her back legs at all. Her nerves were damaged, and therefore, her muscles were not functioning at all. As her nerves slowly recovered, I gave her Myos Muscle Formula in order to help her muscles regain strength. I wasn’t sure it was working, and it is fairly expensive, so I took her off of it. My mistake! She regressed a bit, and I immediately put her back on it. She has been on it ever since, and I will keep her on it until she is gone from this world.
Jane is not completely back to normal after her FCE episode, but she is doing remarkably well and is functional.
I do not have video or pictures of Jane when she was first down with the FCE. I didn’t think she could recover, but I had to try.
Here is video of Jane about 2 months after her FCE episode. She is wearing booties because she was scraping the tops of her feet and getting them injured. She is in a sling because her legs obviously do not support her rear. At the end of the video, you can see that even when her feet are placed normally on the ground, she does not have the muscle tone to support her rear and starts to sag.
